What if you received an email message about your Wells Fargo Online and it tells you that your account is locked, what will you do? Will you respond to the email message even if the email address (the sender) is not from the official website of Wells Fargo?

Here’s the example email message I received. The sender’s email address is from jackbenson@btconnect.com with a name “Wells Fargo Online”. I received this email message on May 29 at 11:11 PM.

Your Online Account Access is Locked

Your password has been entered incorrectly three times at wellsfargo.com. For your security, we have disabled your password for verification. After successful verification your password will be enabled.
To verify your information with us, Click here and complete the data form respectively.

Wells Fargo Online Account is Locked (Scam Alert)

The email message has attached files, I didn’t opened the attached filed because it has  warning that tells about “virus”. Here’s the warning; “Attachments in this email may contain harmful content and cannot be downloaded”.

If you received email message concerning your Wells Fargo Online account, do not reply to email message and do not opened the attached files. Also, if someone is asking your personal information, do not give your personal information or bank account details.
