United Nations Scam Format & World Bank Compensation Award of US$2.3M??

Awhile ago, I noticed some United Nations scam format. I received an email message with a subject “UNITED NATIONS/WORLD BANK ORGANIZATION COMPENSATION AWARD OF US$2.3M”. I am curious what this is all about, since the subject  is interesting, I immediately read the whole email message and it’s a perfect example of “phishing”and a “scam”. Beware in this type of phishing emails. Scammers or (scamsters) will do anything just to earn money online illegally. And one of the mistakes they are doing is using the name of the authorities. In this case, they used “World Bank” and “UN-United Nations”.

In my previous post, I mentioned the email phishing example I’ve received and the email message was related to US Tax Refund Services. I am blogging about this topic because I want my readers to be well informed about phishing, fraud, what else? I want them to know how to spot the financial investment scam. Aside from that, it is my pleasure to educate my readers on how to protect their identity online.

Regarding with this United Nations and World Bank Compensation Award email phishing, here’s the exact email message I have received in my spam folder. (see screenshot)

As you have noticed, the address was from Ghana, the email sender was different from the email address gave by the contact person. If you were me, you received the same message giving you an astonishing two million dollars compensation award from United Nations and World Bank, what should you do? Will you response? Or just ignore the email?

Here’s what I did, first I moved the message to the other folder in my email (from spam to other folder). The reason why I moved the message to a folder is for reference, so that when someone asked me the proof (especially the authorities) I can show them what is in the message. Anyway, you saw the screenshot. Then, get the two email address and blocked it so that I will never received any messages from these email addresses.

What’s the point? By increasing your financial IQ and common sense, you will never be a victim of fraud or any related United Nations scam emails. What can you say about the United Nations scam format? Are they obviously scam? Yes! They smell bad.
